Meetings and Events

We hold regular indoor meetings in a building which is near to Scarborough Hospital (see the 'Indoor Meetings' section below for details).  They start at 7:30pm with any news and reports from members about anything interesting they've seen or heard about since the last meeting.  Next, there's a 'half-time' interval for a look at any exhibits brought in by members and a bit of general chit-chat amongst friends.  Finally, the guest speaker will deliver their talk (usually with a slide-show) and answer a few questions afterwards.  It's usually all over by 9:30pm.

If you're a member of the Society all the meetings are free, but guests are welcome to come and see what it's all about for the price of £1 per meeting.

Membership rates (payable in January) are as follows -
Full Membership - £10
Family Membership - £15
Senior Citizen and Concessionary - £7
Joint Senior Citizen and Concessionary - £10
Student or Junior - £2
Institutional Membership - £20

There is a text version of the membership form which you can print out and complete if you would like to join the Society.  Click on the link to open the page (in a new window), print it out and then fill in your details before posting it (with a cheque made payable to Scarborough Field Naturalists' Society) to our Treasurer.
